The Tennessee Crisis Negotiators Association (TCNA) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives. Our newly formed association falls in line with other state associations with the overall goal being to bridge the communication gap throughout the crisis negotiation community and highlight this specialized training throughout the state.

Crisis negotiations is crucial for ensuring a coordinated and effective response during high-stress situations. When various agencies are well-versed in negotiation techniques, they can collaborate seamlessly, share critical information, and employ a unified approach to de-escalate conflicts. This integrated training helps build a common understanding of tactics, enhances communication, and fosters trust among teams, ultimately improving the chances of resolving crises peacefully while safeguarding the well-being of all involved. In essence, a well-coordinated effort in crisis negotiations can lead to more successful outcomes and minimize the risk of harm.
